Pension advice for employers

A pension scheme that fits your business, your budget and your people

Tailored advice for employers. In line with the Dutch Financial Supervision Act, Pensioenhart gives you a pragmatic and clear picture of the options and consequences of a scheme.

When do you call in Pensioenhart?

Six situations in which employers get in touch

Your first scheme

Your business is growing, you want to retain employees and you are looking for a scheme that stays affordable. Including a check on whether you fall under a mandatory industry-wide pension fund (bpf).

Transition to the Wtp

Your current scheme has to change before 2028. Which scheme do you choose, what does compensation cost and how do you get the works council on board?

Contract is expiring

The administration agreement with your insurer or premium pension institution (PPI) is coming to an end. The ideal moment to compare the market and adjust the scheme where needed.

Merger or acquisition

Several schemes side by side. Harmonising without employees losing out, as with Nationaal Media Onderzoek.

Employees do not understand it

The scheme is good, but nobody knows it. Presentations, leaflets and one-to-one meetings turn it into an employment benefit that counts.

Second opinion

You have received advice or a quote and want an independent review before you sign. In writing, within two weeks.

Future Pensions Act

What the Wtp asks of you as an employer

The Future Pensions Act has been in force since 1 July 2023. By 1 January 2028 at the latest, every scheme must be a defined contribution scheme with an age-independent contribution. For employers, that means four decisions: which scheme, which contribution, which compensation for existing employees and how you bring the works council and your people along.

  • Analysis of the current scheme and the transitional rules (grandfathering)
  • Calculation of current versus new accrual per employee
  • Request for consent to the works council, including explanatory notes
  • Communication plan and presentations for employees
Request a Wtp transition plan
Deadline 1 Jan 2028

Lead time six to twelve months. Pension providers schedule implementations well in advance; those who start in 2027 will have fewer options.

Pension communication

Informing employees, so the scheme comes alive

A pension scheme can easily cost ten to twenty percent of the payroll. A waste if employees do not know what they are accruing. Aukje informs them through leaflets, presentations or one-to-one meetings, in Dutch or English.

  • Kick-off presentation for a new scheme or Wtp transition
  • Leaflet and texts for the staff handbook
  • Walk-in sessions or one-to-one meetings, also around the retirement date
  • Employee survey as the starting point for your pension policy

"Informing employees" package

A 45-minute presentation, a leaflet in your house style and a Q&A hour. Fixed price, including preparation with HR.

Also available separately alongside your existing adviser.

For the works council

Having the pension proposal assessed

The works council has the right of consent when a pension scheme is established, amended or withdrawn. Aukje helps works council members master the subject so they can represent their constituency well: an independent assessment of the proposal, an explanation in plain language and guidance on the request for consent.

For the DGA

Building up a pension as a director-major shareholder

Self-administered pension accrual has not been possible since 2017. The DGA is guided through the options that do exist: an insured scheme, an annuity, joining the operating company's scheme or building up capital in the private limited company (bv). Including disability and surviving dependants.
